The Prarie Homestead

I’ve just stumbled across a website I really enjoyed. Just as we like to visit the country homes of friends, sit down with a glass of sweet tea and visit at the kitchen table, looking out over the chickens scratching about the yard – it’s equally fun to visit another homesteading blog, especially one that’s so homey and friendly and already packed with useful information.

The Prairie Homestead is just such a blog, and I felt as though I was visiting old friends. We might do a few things differently (I think *my* recently discovered pizza crust recipe is the best – a copy of Pizza Hut Pan Pizza!), but many things are the same. And I love learning new things from fellow homesteaders … who could have guessed there were so many uses for whey?

So follow the link to some of their popular posts, stay and visit a while. Come by again and visit us again as well! The weather’s getting cooler, so we’ll light a fire and let you put your feet up on the hearth, and make a nice mug of cocoa or, if you prefer, hot peppermint tea!

About Inspired Ink

Artist, crafter, writer, experimental chef extraordinaire ;) ... farmer, mom, teacher, gardener, natural health enthusiast. I love my life, am surrounded by animals that make me laugh and entertain me, from silently chattering muscovies to a dancing llama. My favorite hobby right now is finding old things at the flea market and turning them into something new and different. I love to surround myself with beautiful things (beauty is always in the eye of the beholder), better yet if they are made by my own hands. I love to dance, to sing, to smile and laugh. Life is good!

  1. Thank you so much for your kind words! I couldn’t help but smile when you said “homey and friendly” as that is exactly what I hope my blog is for my readers!

So nice to ‘meet’ another fellow homesteader- keep up the great work!
